RAKA Rentals – Equipment Training & Certification RAKA Rentals now offers OSHA-compliant equipment training and certification designed to keep your team safe and productive utilizing the iVES Training System. Choose from the following classes: Available Training Programs Standard Forklift Operator Training • Meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178(l) standards • Certification for ITA Class 4 (cushion tire) and Class 5 (pneumatic tire) forklifts Rough Terrain Telehandler Training • Meets OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178(l) standards • Certification for ITA Class 4 (cushion tire) and Class 5 (pneumatic tire) forklifts MEWP (Scissor Lift & Boom Lift) Training • Meets ANSI A92.24 standards • Certification for: • Type 3, Group A (Scissor Lifts) • Type 3, Group B (Aerial Boom Lifts) Training can be split into scissor lift-only or boom lift-only class upon request. Class Details Duration: 1 day (not to exceed 6–8 hours), starting at 8:00 AM or earlier start upon customer request Combined Classes: All three classes can be taught together (8 hours total) Pre-Course Requirement: • Trainees must complete the required reference manual(s) before attending class to ensure all handson training can be completed within the 6-8 hour timeframe • Each manual takes ~2 hours; quizzes must be finished prior to training • Bring completed manual(s) to class Class Size, Cost, Dates Maximum: 8 participants Cost $275 / class / person Dates To be determined based on customer input and trainer availability Location RAKA Rentals Omaha: 10608 Sapp Brothers Drive, Omaha, NE 68138 Or a location deemed appropriate by the customer and trainer What We Provide Full-body harness Retractable & non-retractable lanyards Safety glasses (if needed) Reflective vest Lunch for all trainees Pre-Training Checklist Trainee Requirements • Completed reference manual(s) • MANDATORY Steel-toe or composite safety footwear • Work pants/jeans, shirt can be short or long sleeve, weather-appropriate clothingTraining is conducted in English only; trainees must be able to read, speak, and understand English. Instruction through an interpreter is not recommended Standards Based Training Certification Validity • Forklift & Telehandler: 3 years • MEWP: No OSHA mandate, but RAKA recommends 3 years • The iVES training system is nationally recognized throughout the construction industry • Refresher training will be required after unsafe operation or incidents are observed by a supervisor/safety department equivalent or is observed by OSHA Built on Industry Standards Training Focus • OSHA, ANSI, ITSDF compliance • Hazard recognition & safe decision-making • Closed book theory test over the reference manual & hands-on evaluation • Certificate & wallet card issued upon successful completion QUESTIONS?
